Sharon is an artist, jazz vocalist, poet, gardener and happy camper. She was born in Newport, R.I. She swapped her love of the ocean for a love of the mountains when she moved to Asheville in 1984. There she managed her husband's chiropractic office while raising their two children.Throughout her life she discovered the healing benefits from alternative medicine through chiropractic, applied kinesiology, breathwork, yoga, reikki, massage, acupuncture and homeopathic medicine. She became certified by the NC board of chiropractors as a chiropractic assistant. Sharon learned "Touch For Health" applied kinesiology founded by George Goodheart and Sacral-Occipital Technique. She studied Body Electronics with Bob Stevens of Mastery Systems. Sharon became aware of her need to heal her own mind body spirit from her childhood trauma so she completed her own work with a therapist in individual and group sessions. In 2001 Sharon embarked on a new kind of healing journey "Finding her voice" she studied jazz vocals and banded together with a group of local jazz musicians. At this time she also founded "Call That Jazz' a booking and management agency and a nonprofit "The Jazz Composers Forum " for the purpose of presenting original instrumental jazz.
Sharon became intrigued by the results she experience when a friend shared a Havening sessions with her and she jumped at the chance to study and be certified in Havening Techniques with Elena Kindler. She enjoys sharing the benefits of Havening and loves working with people. Sharon is a master at creating a safe haven with her unwavering presence and support while faciltating others using havening techniques. She believes Havening can be a benficial tool for life.
